Canine ReproVet
Editorial Standards

The standards every scientific object must respect.

What constitutes publishable content on Canine ReproVet Knowledge™, how to cite, in which tone, how and when to update.

Six standards

The minimum common denominator.

Structure of an SKO

Every Scientific Knowledge Object respects a fixed structure: title, synthesis, key evidence, evidence level, references, authors, review date, version. No structural shortcuts.

Source citation

Every claim carries a visible and verifiable citation to the primary source (indexed peer-reviewed) or to the guideline of a recognised society. No published text without citation.

Evidence levels

HIGH / MODERATE / LOW: every SKO publicly declares the evidence level it relies on. If the level is low, the reader knows it before reading.

Editorial voice

Scientific, measured, non-promotional style. No absolute statements beyond the evidence. The tone must not claim more strength than the source has.

Continuous updating

Every SKO has a visible last-reviewed date. The update cadence is defined for each vertical area. New evidence produces new versions with a public changelog.

Native bilingualism

Every SKO is bilingual EN/IT from scoping. Translation is not a post-process: it is an editorial requirement from the outset.

What not to publish

The editorial red lines.

Claims without a source

No clinical claim may appear without a cited source. No exception, not even for opinion pieces.

Non peer-reviewed sources

Blogs, forums, sponsored content and commercial communications are not valid sources.

Promotional tone

No scientific content may promote products, drugs or services. Commercial pages are separated from SKOs.

Individual diagnoses

SKOs do not provide diagnoses on individual animals. They are educational instruments.

Citation format

Every SKO exposes its standard citation format (Vancouver, APA, BibTeX) so it can be referenced in other scientific contexts. The platform is designed to be cited.
